Brown Bird / Thunder and Lightning

Say hello to dirty folk. Which I love. Dirty folk has a place in this world, people. Outdoor festeivals, small pub shows full of dancing and spilled whiskey, desert parties…listen to the folk, love the folk.
Here is indie duo Brown Bird, straight out of Rhode Island (who knew!). A band I hadn’t heard of before yesterday but are now so obviously on my radar!
Their latest album, Salt For Salt, is boot-stomping goodness. I wanted to include this stripped down live version, for the sake of the gorgeous beard exposed here. 🙂 The album offers up so much more in terms of layers and instrumentation.
