Ólafur Arnalds / Old Skin

Iceland’s Ólafur delivers yet again. What, exactly, did he deliver? It’s hard to define as he surprises us in For Now I Am Winter with the addition of an orchestra and vocals by Ólafur Arnalds Arnór Dan of Agent Fresco.
Arnalds’ unforgettable instrumentals have grown up and moved on from his previous work. It feels as though he’s spent hours and hours bleeding, cleaning, perfecting, carefully selecting every drop of sound recorded to assemble an impeccable album. For me, this album is complete; aged, refined, ready.

Load up the album in its entirety, drop it into your ears and enjoy as every song clearly becomes its own story.

Another neat surprise, Arnalds put out a video for this song. Here it is (along with a soundcloud link).
